The Diamante is Basso's lightest UCI approved road racing bike, designed to be comfortable on the road and competent on even the most challenging of climbs and descents. Basso uses a short rear triangle to make the Diamante extremely stable for seated climbing, even at very low speeds, and very reactive when you are on the pedals and your weight is forward.
Basso released the first Diamante in 1998, since then there has been 8 evolutions, to become what it is today - the most Basso bike of all. Being Basso's longest running model, the Diamante has gone through constant and meticulous improvements, combining forward thinking innovation with a 45-year heritage. The geometry has been refined over the decades thanks to the kilometres travelled, and is now capable of achieving absolute performance, an intense and engaging riding experience, ready to excite.
Basso has meticulously studied carbon to enhance its characteristics through shapes. In the areas where energy is generated and discharged - the bottom bracket and steering area , the shape, in addition to reduced thickness and weight of the tubes, gives greater torsional rigidity, so that all the pedalling energy translates into progression and riding precision. This solution allows to obtain greater lightness, rigidity and control, with the result of not losing power and acquiring stability.
